Abstract: The article is aimed at providing a general charecterisitcs of the documents related to the philological studies of the 1st half of 20 century and the history of the Russian language and literature chair (the name being changed later) of the T. Shevchenko Kyiv National University from the col. № 33 of the Institute of Manuscripts of the I. V. Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine where the archive of the outstanding historian of the Ukrainian books is preserved.
