Abstract: By means of the comprehensive analysis of the archival collections of the VNLU Institute of Manuscripts an attempt at reconstruction of the history of two Kyiv nunneries is made. It enables the researcher to dispute the hypotheses of their merger advanced by the 19 century scientists.
