Krekhiv Statute of the 17th century: codicological description of the manuscript

Section: Codicology and Codicography

Abstract: In the article reconstructed is the history of creation and use of hand-written Ecclesiastical Statute from Krekhiv (near Lviv) St. Nicolas Basilian monastery, made in the first third of the 17th century. Codicological description of the manuscript is conducted; its structure, material and size are investigated. Organization of pages, type of writing, styling and content are analyzed. Moreover, the book binding is described, the notes within the manuscript are recorded and integrity of the codex is specified
